MOVE YOUR BODY. FIND YOUR PEOPLE.

    About The Move Social

    FIND YOUR PEOPLE

    FIND YOUR PEOPLE

    FIND YOUR PEOPLE

Come for the movement. Stay for the connection.

    MOVE WITH JOY

    FIND YOUR PEOPLE

    FIND YOUR PEOPLE

Good music. Good energy. No judgement.

    FEEL LIKE YOU

    FIND YOUR PEOPLE

    FEEL LIKE YOU

Your body. Your pace. Your way.

The Move Social was created with one simple idea in mind: moving our bodies should feel good.

Not intimidating. Not overly serious. Not like another thing on the never-ending to-do list.

Just good music, good energy, great people and a chance to move, laugh, sweat and leave feeling better than when you arrived.

    More than a fitness class

The Move Social is a dance-based fitness and movement community for people who want exercise to feel a little more joyful.

You do not need to be a dancer.
You do not need to be super fit.
And you definitely do not need to know all the moves.

Our classes are designed to be welcoming, energetic and accessible, with plenty of room to move at your own pace.

Some people will come because they want to get fitter. Some will come because they love dancing. Some will come because they need an hour that is just for them.

All of those reasons are welcome here.

Why I created The Move Social

I wanted to create the kind of space I would want to walk into myself.

A room where you can switch off from work, parenting, caring, responsibilities and everything else life throws at us.

A place where exercise doesn't feel like punishment and where nobody is worrying about whether they look perfect doing it.

Life is busy, and for so many of us, looking after ourselves ends up somewhere near the bottom of the list.

The Move Social is about putting a little bit of joy back into movement — and hopefully into your week too.

    The social bit matters

    The name isn't accidental.

Yes, we move. But we also want people to connect.

Come with your friends, come with your sister, come with your workmates — or come completely on your own.

You might arrive not knowing anybody.

    That's absolutely fine.

The aim is to build a community where people feel comfortable walking through the door, joining in and being themselves.

    Come as you are

    No perfect bodies.
    No perfect coordination.
    No judgement.

Just turn up, move your body and have a good time.

    Welcome to The Move Social.

    Move. Connect. Feel good.

    MEET THE FOUNDERS

    Nash & Charles
    Co-Founders of The Move Social

Hi, we're Nash and Charles 👋🏾

The Move Social started with Nash's idea to create something that brought together the things she loves — movement, music, people and joy — and grew into something we're now building together.

Nash leads the vision, community and creative side of The Move Social, while Charles is very much the man behind the tech, helping to make sure everything works as it should behind the scenes!

We're building The Move Social around a pretty simple belief: moving your body should feel good, and doing it with other people makes it even better.

We want to create spaces where people can turn up exactly as they are, have a laugh, have a dance, meet some lovely people and leave feeling better than when they arrived.

We can't wait to welcome you. 🧡

Experienced professionals dedicated to your success.

Proven results that speak for themselves.

    5. Our Lawful Bases for Processing Personal Information

UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for processing personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on:

Contract — where processing is necessary to provide a class or service that you have booked or requested.

Legal obligation — where we need to process or retain information to comply with a legal requirement.

Legitimate interests — where processing is reasonably necessary for operating, administering and protecting The Move Social, provided those interests do not override your rights and interests.

Consent — where you have specifically agreed to a particular use of your information, such as certain marketing communications or photography/video use.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time.

    6. Health and Accessibility Information

You may choose to tell us about an injury, health condition, pregnancy, disability, accessibility requirement or other information relevant to your participation in a class.

Health information can constitute special category personal data under UK data protection law and is therefore afforded additional protection.

Where required, we will seek your explicit consent to process health information you choose to provide for the purpose of supporting your safe participation in our classes.

You are not expected to provide a detailed medical history.

Please provide only information that is relevant to your participation.

Access to this information will be limited to people who reasonably need it, such as an instructor where the information is relevant to helping you participate safely.

    7. Bookings

The Move Social currently uses Bookwhen to manage online bookings.

When you make a booking, information entered into the booking system may be processed through Bookwhen in order to administer your booking.

We may receive and use information provided through Bookwhen where necessary to manage your booking, attendance and participation.

Bookwhen also operates under its own privacy and data protection arrangements.

    8. Payments

Online payments for The Move Social bookings are currently processed using Stripe.

Stripe processes the payment information required to complete your transaction.

The Move Social does not ordinarily receive or store your full payment card details.

We may receive transaction information such as the amount paid, payment status, transaction reference and other limited information required to reconcile payments or manage refunds and disputes.

Stripe operates under its own privacy and security arrangements.

    9. Marketing Communications

We may give you the opportunity to receive news about The Move Social, including future classes, events, offers and other updates.

Where consent is required for electronic marketing, this choice will be optional.

You do not have to agree to receive marketing communications in order to book or attend a class.

You can unsubscribe or withdraw your marketing consent at any time.

Messages that are necessary to administer a class you have booked — such as a cancellation, time change or venue change — are service communications and are separate from marketing.

    10. Photography and Video

The Move Social may occasionally take photographs or short videos during classes and events for use on our website, social media channels or promotional materials.

Where appropriate, we will obtain consent before intentionally using identifiable photographs or footage of participants for promotional purposes.

Photography and video consent is optional. You can attend The Move Social without agreeing to appear in promotional content.

If you have given consent, you may withdraw it in relation to future use by contacting us.

We will consider reasonable requests concerning previously published material, although withdrawal of consent does not automatically make previous lawful use of material unlawful.

    11. Who We May Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share personal information where reasonably necessary with organisations or individuals who help us provide and operate our services, including:

    • our payment processor;
    • website, email and IT service providers;
    • instructors and authorised people working with The Move Social where information is necessary for delivering a class safely;
    • professional advisers such as accountants, insurers or legal advisers;
    • insurers where information is required in connection with an incident or claim; and
    • regulators, courts, law enforcement or other authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

We aim to share only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

    12. How Long We Keep Your Information

We will not keep personal information for longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including satisfying legal, accounting, insurance or reporting requirements.

Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

Financial and transaction records may need to be retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting rules.

Health or accessibility information collected specifically for participation in classes will be reviewed and should not be retained indefinitely where there is no continuing reason to keep it.

Marketing information may be retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, subject to keeping limited information where necessary to ensure your preference continues to be respected.

    13. Keeping Your Information Secure

We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information from accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or misuse.

Access to personal information is limited to those who reasonably need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Where we use third-party service providers, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate arrangements for handling personal information.

    14. International Processing

Some technology providers used by The Move Social may process or store personal information outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards required by applicable UK data protection law will be used where necessary.

    15. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights in relation to your personal information.

These may include the right to:

    • request access to personal information we hold about you;
    • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
    • ask us to delete your personal information in certain circumstances;
    • ask us to restrict the processing of your information;
    • object to certain uses of your information;
    • request the transfer of certain information;
    • withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent; and
    • complain about how your personal information has been handled.

Not every right applies in every circumstance.

If you would like to exercise one of your rights, please contact:

    hello@themovesocial.co.uk

We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request.

    16. Complaints

If you are concerned about how The Move Social has handled your personal information, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and respond.

You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent regulator for data protection.

    17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as The Move Social develops, our services change or our legal obligations change.

The latest version will be published on our website with the date it was last updated.

Terms and Conditions - The Move Social

    Last updated: 2 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings for classes, sessions and events provided by The Move Social.

The Move Social is a trading name operated by Nasheana Owusu as a sole trader.

Throughout these Terms, “The Move Social”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operated under that trading name.

By making a booking with The Move Social, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your booking.

    1. About The Move Social

The Move Social provides instructor-led dance fitness, movement and community-focused classes and events.

Our classes are designed to be welcoming and accessible to a range of abilities. Unless a particular class states otherwise, you do not need previous dance experience to take part.

    Our aim is simple:

MOVE YOUR BODY. FIND YOUR PEOPLE.

    2. Making a Booking

Places should be booked through our authorised online booking system unless we specifically state otherwise.

Your place is confirmed once the booking process has been successfully completed and, where payment is required, payment has been received.

Bookings are subject to availability and class capacities may vary depending on the venue and type of session.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide when booking is accurate and up to date.

Please do not book a place that you know you will be unable to use.

    3. Prices and Payment

The price of each class, ticket or event will be clearly displayed at the time of booking.

Payment must be made online at the time of booking using the payment methods available through our booking system.

We do not currently accept cash or payment on arrival unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.

From time to time, The Move Social may offer launch, introductory, promotional or discounted tickets. These may be limited in number and may be subject to additional conditions stated at the time of booking.

    4. Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers

Class bookings are non-refundable, except where The Move Social cancels a class or where you have a statutory right to a refund.

We understand that plans sometimes change. If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your booking to another eligible The Move Social class provided you contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of your original class.

Transfers are subject to availability and must be arranged with The Move Social.

Requests made less than 24 hours before the class will not normally be eligible for a transfer.

If you do not attend your booked class without notifying us, your booking will be treated as a no-show and your payment will not be refunded or transferred.

Launch, promotional and discounted tickets are also non-refundable. Where permitted, they may be transferred in accordance with the same 24-hour policy.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

    5. If The Move Social Cancels or Changes a Class

Occasionally, we may need to change an instructor, venue, class time or another aspect of a session.

Where possible, we will give participants as much notice as reasonably practicable.

A change of instructor alone will not normally entitle you to a refund.

If The Move Social cancels a class entirely, you will be offered either:

    • a transfer to another suitable available class; or
    • a refund of the amount you paid for the cancelled class.

If we need to make a significant change to the date, time or location and you are unable to attend as a result, please contact us and we will deal with your booking reasonably.

    6. Arriving for Your Class

Please arrive in sufficient time to check in and prepare for your class.

Warm-up is an important part of physical activity. If you arrive significantly late, the instructor may decide that it is not safe or appropriate for you to join the class.

Where participation is refused because of significant late arrival, a refund or transfer is not guaranteed.

    7. Health and Participation

    Dance fitness involves physical activity.

By participating in a class, you confirm that you are participating voluntarily and will exercise within your own abilities.

You are responsible for deciding whether a class is appropriate for you.

Please inform the instructor before participating of any relevant injury, health condition, pregnancy, accessibility requirement or other circumstance that may affect your ability to participate safely.

You are not expected to disclose a detailed medical history. Please provide only information that is relevant to your safe participation.

You should stop exercising and inform the instructor if you experience pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath, feel unwell or become concerned about your ability to continue safely.

Where appropriate, you should seek advice from a suitably qualified healthcare professional before beginning or returning to exercise.

Our instructors may suggest modifications or alternatives during a class, but these are not a substitute for individual medical advice.

    8. Personal Responsibility and Risk

Physical activity carries an inherent risk of injury.

The Move Social takes reasonable steps to provide a safe environment and to use appropriately qualified instructors.

Participants are expected to follow reasonable instructions given by the instructor, use any equipment appropriately and exercise within their own abilities.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

    9. Clothing, Footwear and Personal Belongings

Please wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the class you are attending and bring sufficient water.

You are responsible for your own personal belongings while attending a class.

We recommend avoiding bringing unnecessary valuables.

The Move Social cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where this results from our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

    10. Behaviour and Our Community

The Move Social is intended to be a friendly, inclusive and respectful environment.

We ask everyone attending our classes to treat instructors, other participants, venue staff and members of the public with respect.

Harassment, discrimination, threatening or abusive behaviour, deliberate disruption or behaviour that compromises another person's safety or enjoyment will not be tolerated.

The Move Social reserves the right to ask someone to leave a class, refuse participation or decline future bookings where behaviour is unsafe, abusive, discriminatory or seriously disruptive.

    11. Photography and Video

From time to time, The Move Social may take photographs or short videos during classes for use on our website, social media channels or other promotional materials.

Where identifiable participants are being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes, appropriate consent will be sought.

Consent to photography and video is optional. You can attend The Move Social without agreeing to appear in promotional content.

If you have not consented, we will take reasonable steps to avoid intentionally using identifiable photographs or footage of you.

If you have previously consented and later wish to withdraw that consent for future use, please contact us.

Withdrawal of consent will apply to future use where reasonably practicable and does not automatically make previous lawful use of material unlawful.

    12. Personal Information and Privacy

The Move Social collects and uses personal information in order to manage bookings, take payments, communicate with participants, operate classes safely and run the business.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection law and The Move Social Privacy Policy.

Information relating to health or accessibility that you choose to provide will be handled with particular care and used only where appropriate for the purposes for which it was collected.

Marketing communications are optional and are separate from communications necessary to administer a booking.

    13. Booking Communications

We may contact you using the details supplied during booking where necessary to administer your booking or provide important information relating to a class.

For example, we may contact you regarding a cancellation, venue change, time change or other important information affecting your booking.

These service communications are separate from optional marketing communications.

Please ensure the email address and telephone number you provide are correct.

    14. Age Requirements

Unless a class is specifically advertised for children or young people, The Move Social's standard adult classes are intended for people aged 18 and over.

If The Move Social introduces classes for children or young people, separate booking, parental/guardian consent and safeguarding arrangements may apply.

    15. Venues

The Move Social uses third-party venues to deliver classes and events.

Participants must comply with any reasonable health, safety, access or conduct requirements imposed by the venue.

Facilities and accessibility may differ between locations.

If you have a particular accessibility requirement and would like information about a venue before booking, please contact us.

    16. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

There may occasionally be circumstances outside our reasonable control that prevent a class from taking place as planned.

These could include severe weather, venue closure, transport disruption, power failure, emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to contact affected participants and provide information about their booking.

Where The Move Social cancels the class entirely, the cancellation provisions in Section 5 will apply.

    17. Changes to These Terms

The Move Social may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time as the business and our services develop.

The Terms applicable to your booking will normally be those in effect at the time your booking is made.

Where an important change directly affects an existing booking, we will communicate this where appropriate.

    18. Contact Us
